About AITi
Opinionated about AI — not a content mill.
AITi — pronounced “AI Titanium” — is an independent website publishing one high-quality original AI essay every week. The name comes from element 22 in the periodic table: titanium. It has a high melting point, it resists corrosion, and it is light but strong: the metal of the aerospace industry. We use it to remind ourselves to write things that hold up as the years pass.
Why we do this
The Chinese internet today is not short of AI content. It is short of things worth twenty careful minutes of your attention. Hot takes get recycled a hundred times within twenty-four hours, and anxiety is sold faster than any model ships. Meanwhile the genuinely scarce things — first-hand experience, independent judgement, a human point of view — drown in the noise.
AITi wants to be the slow kind: not chasing every headline, only writing about things we have actually used, thought about, and verified. One essay a week — fewer, but better.
Opinionated about AI — not a content mill.
What we promise
- One essay a week — published weekly, numbered consecutively from 001. A missed week is a broken promise.
- First-hand — only products we used, work we did, and judgements we verified.
- Human-written — AI as research assistant and copy editor; the opinions and the prose are human.
- No advertorial — every commercial partnership is clearly labelled, and never shapes the opinion.
About the author
Jeffrey Hu is the founder and writer of AITi.
For more than twenty years he has worked on the question of how technology actually lands in practice. Early in his career he built products and did R&D in the mobile and telecom industry; he then founded and ran companies in succession. He now heads the AI Innovation Department at LCFC (联宝电子) and leads the EAVS product line — building a team from scratch across algorithm, engineering and product, and pushing AI into real production and real products.
EAVS (Edge AI Vertical Station) is an all-in-one edge AI appliance: storage, local models and an agent framework in one box, putting large models inside a company’s own server rack. He has also built private, on-premises knowledge bases for enterprises (local models + RAG), and ran a programming-education platform. For him AI has never been an abstraction — it is something he has shipped with his own hands.
He writes AITi because first-hand experience that stays inside a job is too great a waste. One essay a week is a discipline he holds himself to — and a way to slowly pass on everything he has seen, tripped over, and verified.

About this site
This site is independently run: no tracking scripts, no interstitial ads, no paywall.
